With groups, you can break a single report into subsections.
For a new report:
- From the first screen upon opening the app Tap the "+" icon (top-left)
- You will be directed to the "New Report" screen
- Fill in the 'Location" and the "Title" fields
- Switch the "Advanced Features" on.
- Tap the checkbox marked "Enable Groups"
- At this point you can tap the "Save" icon (top-left)
For an existing report:
- Tap on "Report Details"
- Switch the "Advanced Features" on.
- Tap the checkbox marked "Enable Groups"
- At this point you can tap the "Save" icon (top-left)
At this point, you have enabled groups for a report.
Assign images to groups:
- Take your first image tap "OK" to save
- You are now on the Item 1/1 page.
- Insert annotations as required to highlight the issues
- In the "Group" field type a description for this issue, e.g., Carpenter
- In the "Comments" field type your description of the issue.
- Tap the "Camera" icon (or the load from gallery Icon) to continue populating the report.
- Each time you enter a different description in the "Group" field, Report And Run will display existing descriptions as you type.
- When you have finished adding items, tap the "Back" button and then you can generate a PDF of your report.
At this point your report is ready to publish:

- Tap on the "PDF" icon (top-right)
- On the "Generate PDF Report" page a selection criteria is available called "Standard Report" with a down button (Figure 1)
- You can now choose to generate the standard report (no subsections) or tap the "Grouped Report" radio button (Figure 2)
- Tap the "Grouped Report" Radio button. All of the sub-groupings are selected.
- Tap "OK"
- Choose the report template and tap it.
- Tap "View" and you will see the images organized into those groups.
Pro-Tip:
- The app will remember all of the group selections that you have chosen, and when you type the first letter of a group, it will hint which selection you may wish to choose.
- If you have a regular schedule of items to document, then use a numeric key to indicate types, e.g., 1.0 Site work, 1.1 Foundation, 1.2 Excavation, etc... This will assist you to remember a sequence in the creation of the report.
- For general issues use a keyword like "Issue Carpentry Doors" and then you can use the word issue over and over again, e.g., "Issue Carpentry Frame", "Issue Carpentry Roof", "Issue Plumbing Drains".
- Generating a sub-report by issue is straightforward. Check off all the grouped items called "issue...". In this way, you can group all of the images with having to manually sequence them.
- You can also generate a report for a single group.
